Northern Montana Hospital (NMH) is a non‑profit, 25‑bed Critical Access Hospital serving the Hi‑Line communities. The facility offers a 24‑hour, physician‑staffed emergency department, state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic imaging, electronic medical record services, and private patient rooms on the 5th floor of the Medical/Surgical Department.

Under the direction of the Pathologist and Department Director, the Medical Technologist (Medical Laboratory Technician) performs phlebotomy on patients of all ages in a proficient and caring manner while maintaining adherence to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards for Category I exposure level.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform moderately complex and highly complex CLIA tests without supervision.
• Collect and prepare samples for analysis.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain clinical laboratory instruments and equipment.

Qualifications include:

• Montana State CLS licensure equivalent to a Medical Technologist (ASCP).
• Knowledge of patient age considerations.
• Preferred experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
