POSITION SUMMARYThis position supports the work of YMCA Camp H.R. Erdman, which is committed to strengthening the community by providing positive life‑changing experiences for individuals, groups, and families. This position is responsible for following up with reservations, collecting and filing paperwork, collecting and processing payments, and assisting other departments in providing guests and campers with an excellent experience before and during their stay at Camp Erdman.
This position's mission is to serve as a team player in all departments by providing clerical and administrative support.
1. Welcome Center & Front Office Support
- Greet and assist walk-in visitors, guests, and tour groups with program and facility information.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and voicemail in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage mail distribution and maintain a clean, organized front office space.
- Log booking inquiries and relay details to appropriate Program Directors; follow established booking procedures.
- Assist with online registrations, payments, and collection of required forms and waivers.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, key distribution, and lost & found.
- Perform other program-related tasks as assigned.
- Assist with monthly inventory, daily cash reports, petty cash reconciliation, and bank runs.
- Support annual campaign tasks, community events, and staff recognition efforts.
- Help manage office supplies and equipment.
- Support accounts receivable processes including collections and invoice coding.
- Provide marketing support: gather content, manage social media, and create branded materials (flyers, banners, etc.) under supervision.
- Assist with organizing merchandise and event-related materials.
- Operate the POS system for merchandise sales.
- Support inventory tracking and daily financial reporting related to store operations.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Previous experience in customer service (answering phones, greeting customers, handling customer concerns).
- Basic accounting skills.
- Computer experience (MS Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint - Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides).
- At least 18 years of age.
- Current TB Test.
