Full‑Time | Shift: Various (Camp runs daily from 9 am – 10 pm) – must be available weekdays, weekends, holidays | Pay Rate: $25.09 (based on experience, location)
Responsible for leading and directing children through supervised recreational activities in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Provide exceptional childcare activities for children ages 5–12, instruct poolside craft workshops, sell snacks and drinks at the snack shop, greet and register guests, manage cash, promote hotel services, and ensure safety.
Responsibilities- Teach, lead, participate and interact with children ages 5–12 (occasionally 13–17 during busy seasons); prepare and set‑up activities; swim and interact with children.
- Plan and create stimulating and educational activities for 5‑12 year olds.
- Collect and process cash, credit‑card, and room‑charge payments for camp fees.
- Register arriving and departing children; ensure registration forms completed.
- Maintain cleanliness of facility (vacuum, dust, sweep, mop) and snack shop stand (sanitize equipment, maintain DOH standards).
- Assist with menu schedules, serve lunch/dinner, snacks.
- First responder for water rescue or medical emergencies; render First Aid or CPR.
- Ensure safety of guests, patrons, employees; report accidents, injuries, hazards.
- Make shave‑ice, popcorn, cotton‑candy for concession sales.
- Instruct guests in scheduled arts & craft, private hula lessons, lei making, handmade jewelry classes, acrylic canvas painting.
- Support supervisory tasks: transfer trash, answer phones, take reservations, photocopy, file, inventory, balance vouchers.
- Attend mandatory meetings; report suspicious persons or hazards to security.
- Provide general public assistance, instruction, guidance for guests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma and at least 9 months experience working with children ages 5‑12.
