Yin-Yang Feminism Discussion Group - Graphic Designer

Pre-Volcano Hedonisia Hawaii Eco-Feminist Community
. 2004‑established in the Hawaiian rainforest, our community is rooted in ecofeminism and ecotourism, and we project global reach through entrepreneurial and creative initiatives.

In 2018, the community suffered a lava flow from the Kilauea volcanic eruption. We continue to develop creative projects born in our pre‑volcano community, preserving a one‑acre green zone known as a Kipuka and nurturing it with gradual landscaping. Currently we operate virtually, with over five‑hundred volunteers worldwide collaborating on our Hedonisia Lava to Lotus Portfolio
.

We are seeking a graphic designer who can create variations of the Yin‑Yang image for our monthly workshop and discussion group. Designs should explore diverse interpretations of the Yin‑Yang symbol, incorporating themes of feminism and complementary forces.

Variations may be square or 16:9 aspect ratio. All images must illustrate the presence of both male (yang) and female (yin). Each design should embody at least one of the following yin‑yang pairings:

• Night (yin) / Day (yang)
• Earth (yin) / Sky or Heaven (yang)
• Water (yin) / Fire (yang)

In Taoist cosmology, yin‑yang pairs relate to the five elements:

• Water and wood are generally more yin.
• Fire and metal are generally more yang.
• Earth can act as a balance or transition.

Designs should reflect the principles of relative context, mutual incorporation of yin and yang, and the transformative circular nature of balance.
