Conditions:
Full time, 9-month, general funds, to begin approximately Spring 2026, pending position clearance, availability of funds, and actual staffing requirements. Renewal of appointment contingent on satisfactory performance and availability of funds. Position may be converted from 9 to 11 months or 11 to 9 months based on operational needs.
- Under general supervision, to conduct courses in Business, Marketing, Management, Information Technology and Entrepreneurship.
- Work cooperatively with the dean, division chair, program coordinator, and colleagues to develop an understanding of student needs in the discipline or area of primary responsibility including preparation of course syllabi, completion of appropriate program level and course level assessment.
- Develop and review curricula within industry-validated student learning outcomes, assess student learning outcomes, and incorporate the latest trends in industry; develop teaching strategies, instructional materials and methods which use competency-based instruction; integrate critical thinking skills into instructional methods; and emphasize writing as an important skill.
- Maintain subject matter currency and incorporate technological advances in both operations and instruction; and conduct Peer evaluations and complete regular self-assessment of teaching effectiveness as required.
- Assist with recruitment, cooperative education and student internships/job placements; and develop and maintain robust industry partnerships.
- Administer course student evaluations and address student concerns; and maintain and revise, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet multicultural student needs.
- Maintain ongoing regular student progress checks, counsel students and identify students' learning needs, including needs of underprepared students, and implement constructive teaching strategies.
- Maintain office hours as determined by teaching schedule.
- Day, evening, Early College, and/or distance education classes may be assigned as part of regular workload. May be assigned operational or off-site instructional duties as part of regular workload.
- Participate in campus committees, community service, and in-service training.

- Master's in Business, Entrepreneurship or related.
- Master’s in Business Administration, Information Science, or related.
- Bachelor's in Business Administration and 3 years related work experience in management or business ownership (Experience must be within the last five years).
If qualified applicants are not available, others will be considered on an Acting Instructor basis.
Desirable Qualifications- Successful teaching experience of at least 2 years in a community college business program or equivalent as substantiated by student, peer, and administrative assessments.
- Demonstrated successful experience working with community college students.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a multi-ethnic, multicultural population.
- Ability to function autonomously and as a member of a team.
- Ability to employ writing assignments and critical thinking skill development as part of students' classroom learning activities.
- Successful experience as a business owner of 5 or more years.
- Willingness to instruct via the various technological media available to the college including online courses.
- Successful online teaching experience.
- Experience utilizing an online platform/software.
