Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.

Licensing RequirementsThe Hawaiʻi State Department of Education requires a Bachelor's Degree for teacher positions. You must enroll in a Teacher Education Program within three years of hire to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license. Upon hire you will need a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit. You must enroll in a program aligned with the teaching line you are hired in and demonstrate active pursuit of licensing requirements each year.

New employees can expect their first paycheck within the first three pay periods of their start date. Payday is on the 5th and 20th (or the previous business day) of every month.
Benefits- Compensation: 10‑month teachers may be compensated for the applicable Bargaining Unit 05 10‑month salary schedule for working a 10‑month work year.
