DescriptionPosition is for one-half time only. Salary will be one-half of the amount indicated on the posting. Helping facilitate the CLSD grant and literacy focus for our elementary teachers.
Minimum QualificationsThe Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. The minimum qualification to apply for a teacher, librarian, or counselor position is a Bachelor's Degree, with exceptions for CTE positions.
If hired without a completed Teacher's Education Program, you have up to 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license. You must enroll in a program to continue employment and demonstrate active pursuit of licensing requirements annually.
Upon hire, you will need a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit. You may apply for your license on the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board Website.
