Land Preparation and Cross-Program Collaboration
  • Work closely with Navigators across ʻUpena Pili to understand ʻōpio interests, strengths, goals, and readiness and provide pathway-specific options and resources without replacing the Navigator's primary mentoring relationship;
  • Collaborate with the Wellness, Cultural, and Data & Events Coordinators as an integrated Kīʻapu land-preparation team so opportunities are culturally nourishing, healing-centered, and well-supported;
  • Coordinate with other youth programs under ʻUpena Pili to share resources and opportunities, strengthen referrals, reduce duplication, and expand pathways available to ʻōpio;
  • Participate in Kīʻapu and cross-program planning, case conferencing, and coordinated problem-solving when pathway expertise is needed.
Partnership and Opportunity Stewardship
  • Use active listening, relationship-building, advocacy, and professional communication to cultivate dependable, mutually beneficial partnerships;
  • Maintain regular communication with education and workforce partners and support agreements, expectations, documentation, and coordination for assigned opportunities;
  • Represent Kīʻapu and ʻUpena Pili at education, workforce, employer, and community meetings and events as assigned.
