Rolespecifics and benefits
- Key responsibilities: Under supervision of a licensed PT, assist with initial assessments and treatment planning; lead and modify therapeutic exercises, ROM, gait training, strengthening, balance activities, and functional mobility tasks; support modalities and manual therapy per protocol; assist with patient education on home exercises, activity modification, and self‑management; monitor vitals and safety, document progress, and maintain accurate records; prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use;
collaborate with the PT and care team to optimize each patient’s progress. - Professional growth: Engage in ongoing mentorship from seasoned therapists, participate in case conferences, and pursue opportunities for continuing education credits to expand your skill set in outpatient, inpatient, and specialty rehab scenarios.
