The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Data Processing Operator B, CAT3 to support our government customer located in Kaua'i, Hawai'i . Under supervision, will provide contracted operational and maintenance support services to the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) customer. Receive, distribute, and track all unclassified and classified data and keeping excellent documentation records and destruction reports.
Run various data processing software and operate computers/workstations to complete post operational data requirements. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific assignments and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
* Receive, distribute, and track all unclassified and classified data and keeping excellent documentation records and destruction reports.
* Run various data processing software and operate computers/workstations to complete post operational data requirements.
* Required to support security audits and inspections.
* Responsible for performing data entry work, entering, updating, researching, verifying and/or retrieving data into/from various systems on computers using appropriate software programs.
* Retrieves, distributes and files operational documents for Data Retention and Data Destruction following all Industrial Security regulations and instructions.
* Prepares post op data book, generating mailing labels, wrapping packages, generating transmittals and processing Data Requests.
* Operates computers demonstrating the use of Excel, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat and other required software programs.
* Performs maintenance tasks with minimum supervision and records results of all actions in systems and equipment records in accordance with published procedures and/or O&M guidelines.
* Prepares monthly system reports, preventive maintenance logs, Purchase
Requisition s and other logs or reports as they pertain to the day-to-day operations.
* Assists in preparing and developing new procedures, procedural changes and modification proposals.
* Ability to support multiple tasks and equipment and cross-training/cross-utilization.
* Performs other duties as required. Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling up to 10 pounds. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time. The environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, field assignments, sometimes in inclement weather. Must be flexible to work long hours when required.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUATION/
CERTIFICATIONS:
High School or equivalent REQUIRED
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Two (2) years of experience in a related field or one (1) year experience in specific field in data processing operations.
* Must have the basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy.
* Must be proficient in operating a calculator, personal computers, computer software and standard office equipment.
* Able to type 40-50 words per minute.
* Must have strong people and communication skills.
* Ability to perform multi-tasking (more than one task at a time) during peak periods.
* Knowledge of security procedures and handling of classified data. Must be able to follow directions and work closely with Operations Security.
* Must possess the following PC skills:
Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and knowledgeable of Windows operating system. DESIRED
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Associate's degree in related field or a combination of education and work experience preferred.
* Knowledgeable of Windows Operating Systems, Linux Red Hat and NTADS software programs preferred. REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
