Skilled Pipefitter

• Able to read basic blueprints, sketches, and symbols.
• Knowledge of gas freeing and ventilation procedures.
• Complete flush and hydro system tests.
• Strong math skills.

High School Diploma or GED required, with either two years of technical graduate study in Pipe fitting Technology or a related field, or three years of continuous work experience in a related field.

Stand, walk, use hands to finger and handle objects, use hand and power tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Lift at least 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made.

Regularly work around high and low‑pressure piping systems. Occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles, cold, wet, hot and humid conditions. Noise level moderate and may occasionally be loud.

• Strong mathematical skills.
• Cut, weld, and braze.
• Use close‑tolerance measuring tools (metric or English).
• Fabricate simple jigs and fixtures for production.
• Certification in Silver Brazing, Flush & Hydro Test Systems.
• Build and repair valves.
• Weld similar and dissimilar metals.
• Perform brazing and arc welding.
• Fabricate piping systems.
• Operate surface machines.
• Material handling and processes.
• High productivity and low defects.
• Know and understand all safety rules, including gas freeing and ventilation.
