A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse leader to serve as the Director of Quality Services. This position provides leadership and oversight for organizational quality, patient safety, performance improvement, risk management, regulatory compliance, and accreditation activities across multiple healthcare settings. The Director works collaboratively with executive leadership, medical staff, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to promote high-quality patient care and continuous performance improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Provide oversight and leadership for quality-related functions including Infection Prevention, Case Management, Utilization Review, Social Services, and Employee Health programs.
- Maintain organizational readiness for CMS, The Joint Commission, state regulatory agencies, and other accreditation requirements.
- Monitor quality and patient safety indicators, identify trends, and develop action plans for improvement.
- Lead or facilitate root cause analyses and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop and present quality dashboards and performance reports to leadership.
- Support patient complaint and grievance processes, identifying trends affecting patient experience and safety.
- Collaborate with medical staff on quality review activities, including OPPE/FPPE.
- Provide education and guidance regarding quality, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and support staff within quality-related departments and programs.
- Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN license or ability to obtain state licensure.
- Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working with CMS and The Joint Commission requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
This position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM.
