Under direction of Supervisor and/or General Maintenance Lead, performs general maintenance and repair work. Assists in all types of general maintenance work, including but not limited to, dismantling; installing; maintaining; and repairing.

Compensation

$21.90/hour (non-exempt)

This is a Union position with 1 opening.

General Maintenance Lead and Facilities Manager

• Works in all phases of the maintenance and repair trades, including but not limited to, carpentry; electrical; plumbing; and painting.
• Erects scaffolding and builds and places forms for concrete.
• Assists in mixing, pouring, and finishing of concrete.
• Prepares wood, metal, and other surfaces and applies paint, varnish, or other liquid material with a brush, roller, or spray gun.
• Assists in making routine carpentry repairs to rotted steps, footings, cabinets, etc.
• Sharpens saws and maintains other tools as necessary.
• Works from written instructions.
• Performs work with due regard to safety of self and fellow employees, and with proper care and protection of Company property.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Valid Hawaii Driver’s License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
