Support Worker​/Personal Assistant – Hawick

Gentleman in Hawick requires care and companionship from a Care Worker to help him achieve as full and safe a life as possible. In addition to this to ensure that the Client’s mother has adequate respite. He is currently looking for an additional support worker to join his team.

• Hours per week: 4 Hours per week
• Hours of work: days and hours to be discussed with potential applicants
• £13.20 per hour.
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
• Probationary period of 6 months
• Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

• To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
• To support with personal care routine as/when required.
• Providing emotional and social support
• To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.

• To uphold the wishes, choices and preferences of the client at all times
• Good Communicator, motivated, enthusiastic with a kind and caring personality
• To promote, encourage and assist the client to maintain their individual skills, interests and activities. Also discussing new activities that the client may enjoy
• Physically active and able to push a wheelchair
• Ideally experienced in working with people who have memory loss or dementia

Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal attributes, but they should be able to show some suitability for the role.
