Support Worker/Personal Assistant – Jedburgh

A lady in Jedburgh is looking for kind, patient and considerate Personal Assistants to assist with managing and assisting with her morning and evening personal care routine safely and efficiently, and also her day to day living in regards to meal preparation. Double up care required at all times so 2 carers will be required during visits to manage moving and handling procedures.

• Hours of work: 14.00 per week with 1st carer and 12.25 for 2nd carer. Schedule below:
• Morning – 30 mins both carers daily
• Lunch – 30 mins both carers daily
• Teatime Visit – 30 mins both carers daily
• Evening – 30 mins – 1st carer, 15 mins 2nd carer daily
• £14.05 per hour.
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata.
• Probationary period of 6 months.
• Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership.

• To support the client to ensure their safety and well-being.
• To support with daily morning and evening personal care routine.
• To support with general care needs.
• Personal care assistance.
• Medication prompts.
• Meal and drink preparation.
• Hoists in place to help with moving and handling assistance.
• Continence care and catheter care management.
• To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.

Hoists are used for all transfers so experience of moving and handling is required. Someone with the right personal attributes, and to be able to show some suitability for the role is required.
