Retail Assistant - Part Time

Overview

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Hawick, Scottish Borders. We offer a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 8 hours worked over 3 days per week, including weekends.

The amount you earn depends on your age:

• Ages 16-20 = £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+ = £12.31 per hour

• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, assist with packing, and leave a positive impression with a courteous goodbye
• Handle stock carefully while assisting with deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and on shelves for customers to buy
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy

• A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work
• Enjoy being busy with varied tasks, including putting out deliveries, serving on the till, helping customers on the shop floor, cleaning and stock rotation
• Reliability as part of a small team; colleagues and customers will depend on you
• Flexibility with shifts; three weeks of rotas are planned in advance and commitments outside of work are considered when planning shifts
