We are currently seeking a part-time, long term substitute PE teacher to join our school. The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator who inspires students through engaging instruction while fostering an appreciation for physical education in a faith-based learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with PE curriculum standards
• Foster a classroom environment that is respectful, inclusive, and academically focused
• Encourage and motivate students to participate in physical fitness activities and develop healthy habits
• Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ad hoc duties as required (yard supervision at lunch time)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or Kinesiology preferred
• Previous teaching experience in an elementary/Catholic school preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred
• Virtus certified
• CPR certified

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
