Role OverviewProduction Test Engineer – Los Angeles
Develop, refine, and execute system and subsystem‑level test artifacts to ensure compliance with integrated hardware and software Technical Data Package (TDP) requirements. Collaborate across Manufacturing, Hardware and Software R&D, and Systems Engineering teams.
Responsibilities- Understand performance requirements of complex systems (radar, RF, etc.) and provide technical support for system and subsystem‑level tests.
- Trend and troubleshoot RF systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot IPv4 networking using tools such as Wireshark, Netstat, and Socat.
- Automate and operate commercial test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer).
- Support the product life cycle: requirements development, system validation, hardware/software test, integration, interface definition, test planning and execution.
- Analyze specifications to determine design and process solutions for customer requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans, verification procedures, and scripts (preferably Python) using COTS tooling and electrical special test equipment.
- Improve operations processes, training materials, and coordinate system maintenance tasks.
- Maintain test integrity and equipment availability.
- Support field deployments and Forward‑Deployed Engineering (FDE) teams with system operation and root‑cause analysis.
- Bachelor’s in STEM, or advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Experience with subsystem or system‑of‑systems architecture.
- Training development and script generation skills.
- System‑level design, high‑level control, and data interface experience.
- Linux operating system proficiency.
- Programming languages: C++, MATLAB, Python, or Bash (Python preferred).
- Manufacturing environment experience (high‑rate).
- Leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams or projects.
- Innovative mindset, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing focus.
- Technical writing and problem‑solving skills.
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude across disciplines.
- Security clearance eligibility.
- Operational procedure and training material development experience.
- Digital or RF/microwave system theory, design, and testing experience.
- Integration and test of subsystems, systems, or system‑of‑systems.
- Simulation tools (ADS, Mentor Graphics Xpedition) and analytical tools (MATLAB).
- Laboratory experience with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, PNA, spectrum analyzers, and performance network analyzers.
- Production environment experience.

$120,000 – $170,000 (base only). Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.
