Power Electronics Engineer

we're working with a fast-growing aerospace and defence company developing next-generation electromechanical actuation systems. They’re combining in-house hardware, software and controls to rethink how critical motion technologies are designed, built and delivered.

The team is growing, and we’re looking for a Power Electronics Engineer to help develop high-power conversion hardware for demanding aerospace applications.

• Designing high-power converters and inverters above 10 kW
• Developing power stages, selecting components and working with power semiconductors
• Tackling challenges around efficiency, thermal management, EMI/EMC and reliability
• Bringing prototypes to life through hands-on testing, debugging and verification
• Working closely with controls, firmware and mechanical engineers to deliver mission-ready hardware

• 3+ years of experience in power electronics design and development
• Experience with power converters, inverters, DC-DC conversion or motor drives
• Knowledge of gate drives, protection circuits and high-voltage, high-current PCB design
• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, testing and debugging
• An understanding of thermal management and EMI/EMC

Aerospace experience is a bonus, but engineers from EVs, robotics, industrial automation and other hardware-focused industries are very much encouraged to apply.
