Advanced Behavior Technician (Advanced BT)
The Advanced Behavior Technician (Advanced BT) role is designed for highly flexible and motivated staff who are seeking to deepen their ABA experience while supporting the dynamic needs of the organization. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience under multiple BCBAs, exposure to a variety of client profiles and behaviors, and collaboration across different settings with BCBAs and mid‑level supervisors.
Compensation- $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
- Staff with active RBT certification will start at $24.00 per hour
, with higher pay offered based on relevant experience.
- Provide direct ABA therapy across a variety of cases and settings.
- Collaborate with multiple BCBAs and mid‑level supervisors to expand clinical knowledge and skills.
- Support new Behavior Technicians in the field through shadowing, modeling, and mentorship.
- Assist with administrative tasks assigned by supervising BCBAs.
- Adapt daily to organizational needs, filling in for staff absences or urgent case coverage.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Uphold organizational standards of professionalism, flexibility, and client care.
- Substitute cases or assignments daily as instructed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)/clinical supervisor.
- Deliver direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment services to children diagnosed with autism, conducting sessions in various settings such as homes, schools, or the community.
- Work under the guidance of a program supervisor, instructing clients on essential skills such as communication, play, socialization, and fostering greater independence.
- Assist in addressing challenging behaviors and collecting, organizing, and summarizing behavioral data related to the child’s treatment goals.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Prior ABA experience required.
- Strong adaptability and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be available Monday–Friday, with flexible hours between 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM (start times may vary depending on scheduling needs).
- Reliable transportation to travel between cases as needed.
- Proof of high school diploma or BA/BS degree in Psychology, Education, or Special Education or related field.
- Professional experience with children or special needs required.
- Must be open to school and home cases to build a full‑time schedule.
- Able to commute up to 5–10 miles or 30–45 minutes.
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of auto liability insurance.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week.
