PRODUCTION COORDINATOR (FALCON COMPONENTS) – 2ND SHIFT
The Production Coordinator is a vital role within Space
X’s manufacturing and production teams. Production Coordinators collaborate with all production leadership staff to ensure the punctual delivery of components and assemblies, meeting rigorous deadlines and upholding exceptional quality standards.
- Monitor, track, and move parts as required through the production flow to ensure timely delivery to the next production location
- Independently manage and prioritize the scheduling of component deliveries and assembly workflows, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks to ensure production timelines are met without requiring direct oversight
- Coordinate physical movement of parts through receiving inspection, stock rooms, purchasing, production resources or any applicable work center within SpaceX
- Ensure parts are handled and protected properly and within Space
X specifications - Coordinate off‑site processing of parts to ensure on‑time delivery as required
- Ensure scans and location accuracy is maintained within the shop and Space
X’s ERP system - Work with the planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure our MRP/ERP data is and remains clean and accurate
- Assist with resolution of incorrect system data which is driving inappropriate demand, schedules, or could result in general failure
- Develop/maintain reports to highlight needs, deliverables, and constraints as required for internal and customer use
- Communicate part clear to build status to leadership weekly
- Assist production leadership and project teams with action item updates as required
- Support production and inventory personnel with “return to stock” and inventory purge actions
- Support projects or productivity development activities within assigned production cells
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or administrative environment
- 3+ years of experience handling parts in a manufacturing setting
- Strong computer skills, familiar with the full suite of MS Office products
- Experience in organizing files and documents
- Inventory experience
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing environments
- SQL and Tableau experience
- APICS certification
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Must be willing to 2nd shift hours, overtime, weekends as needed
- 2nd shift:
Monday - Friday (3:00 PM - 1:30 AM)
- 2nd shift:
- Able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours minimum
Pay range:
- Level 1: $22.00 – $24.50/hour
- Level 2: $24.00 – $27.00/hour
- Level 3: $26.00 – $30.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
