The Vice President, Business Development - M&LS will lead the Medical and Life Sciences business unit specializing in Optoelectronics Technology Solutions for the medical, veterinary, and life sciences markets. This individual will possess strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and the ability to drive innovation and growth in a niche and highly technical field.
Responsibilities- Direct and oversee sales and business development operations within the business unit, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market presence, drive revenue growth, and ensure sustainability.
- Lead the engineering team to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions. Ensure that engineering practices adhere to industry standards and best practices, and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with the research and development of cutting‑edge optoelectronics products tailored for medical and life sciences applications.
- Conduct thorough market analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Lead the business unit’s sales and marketing team to develop effective strategies for promoting products and expanding customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the medical and life sciences sectors.
- Ensure all products and factory operations comply with relevant regulations and standards, particularly those pertaining to medical and life science sectors.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the Business Unit, with ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) performance, ensuring that financial targets are met or exceeded. Monitor financial metrics, coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain operations to implement cost‑control measures, and drive initiatives to enhance profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Optoelectronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
