Certified Nurse Midwife

Looking to hire a full time Nurse Midwife for an ob/gyn practice. We have 2 types of Mid Wive positions available. The first position is to join our complete women's health group, currently, with a total of seven offices. The other position is a more concierge "hand holding" office in upscale Manhattan Beach. The first position will join our team with offices in Hawthorne, Long Beach, South Gate, Carson, Boyle Heights, Torrance, and Boyle Heights (Los Angeles).

Women's health experience is a must. Also, must speak medical Spanish  will be determined by experience. The physicians, practitioners are willing to teach anything that the PA, NP, Midwife or ObGyn needs help on. The physicians are available to assist or answer any questions 24/7. There is a great mix of gynecology and obstetrics with focus on minimally invasive surgery and procedures.

Patients represent a huge variety of socioeconomic status (from famous patients to low socioeconomically status and everything between). The Physicians, midwives, practitioners and staff are all fun to work with and we create an enjoyable working environment. The new hire will work alongside one of the groups ObGyn's or practitioners on most days in the office. Schedule will be one day of "home" labor and delivery call per week with post call day off and 3 days of clinic per week.

One Saturday home call per month.

For the second position, clientele with be upper middle class to wealthy patients. We are completing the construction of our Manhattan Beach office which will have a spa like feel to serve the expected clientele. Call will be often, but the volume will be low. This second position is for the midwife who wants to see and get to know their patients well so that they can bond with them and their family.

visits will be 45-60 minutes with group Ob visits. There will be very basic gyn and well woman visits as well. Each call will be with a very midwife friendly physician as backup. Deliveries will all be done at Little Company of Mary Torrance (which is also very midwife friendly).
