Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer (Starlink) – Hawthorne, CA

We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – satellites, consumer receivers, and the software that ties it together. We are seeking best-in-class engineers to maximize Starlink’s global impact.
The Growth and Payments team within the Starlink consumer platform builds and maintains tools that accelerate growth, enable customer acquisition, and improve the customer experience. As a full-stack software engineer, you will work with external stakeholders and internal partners across engineering to launch new product offerings and expand Starlink into new markets. You will build tools and applications to manage website content, improve the customer journey through the order and payments process, and help bring Starlink to millions worldwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop well-architected, responsive, and performant web applications
- Develop highly reliable and available software systems for Starlink
- Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant networks that operate at scale with minimal maintenance
- Full-stack development (C# .NET microservices in Kubernetes; frontend in Angular.js and Next.js/React)
- Emphasize continuous monitoring and alerting to enable data-driven decisions and improve observability
- Collaborate with country growth managers and partners to drive business outcomes
- Work with other Starlink engineering teams to improve architecture, design, and code reviews
- Deep dive into user problems to create efficient solutions
- Contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or STEM plus 5+ years of software development experience; OR 7+ years of software development experience in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience
PREFERRED
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Programming experience in Python, C#, .NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar OO language
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Database experience with Postgre
SQL, SQL Server, or similar - Experience with version control, CI/CD concepts
- Expertise in profiling and improving application performance
- Experience with build systems (Make, Bazel, Pants, Buck, Gradle) and package management tools (pip, npm)
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with UNIX-like operating systems and CI/CD tools
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Software Engineer/Senior: $ - $ per year. Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis based on job-related knowledge, education, and experience.
Base salary is part of a total rewards package including potential stock incentives, discretionary bonuses, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
