M is tackling the complex challenge of building a real-time data platform to process inputs from thousands of autonomous marine systems. You’ll work across the stack—from embedded systems to cloud infrastructure and user interfaces—and be instrumental in building systems that are robust, scalable, and secure.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a startup environment, wants to work on meaningful problems, and is excited about applying advanced software to real-world defense and autonomy challenges.

• Develop full stack features across embedded systems, cloud infrastructure, and user-facing applications
• Design and implement scalable systems for real-time data ingestion and analysis
• Contribute to architectural decisions and shape the technical roadmap
• Collaborate closely with hardware and autonomy teams
• Improve user experience based on feedback from real-world operators
• Mentor teammates and foster a high-performance engineering culture
• Take ownership of key systems and drive projects from concept to deployment

• 6+ years of full stack software development experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, React, and/or C/C++
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time data processing
• Solid grasp of algorithms, system design, and data structures
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Prior exposure to defense tech, autonomous systems, or high-stakes engineering environments is a plus

• Experience integrating hardware and software systems
• Background in startups or fast-moving tech teams
• Projects that have shipped and operated in production environments
• Strong understanding of networks and computer architecture
