Manager of Economic Development and Communications

Lead economic initiatives in Hay River as the Economic Development and Communications Manager. Drive tourism, marketing, and business attraction strategies while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

In this dynamic management role, you will oversee economic development, tourism efforts, and strategic communications. Reporting to the Senior Administrative Officer, you will engage regional partners, Indigenous organizations, and businesses. Your expertise in marketing and community engagement will drive initiatives that support economic growth and enhance public communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement business retention and expansion programs

• Coordinate economic development strategies and master plans

• Oversee tourism development and marketing initiatives

• Lead grant research and application processes

• Build relationships with stakeholders and manage public engagement

Requirements:

• Degree in Economic Development, Communications, or related field

• 3-5 years in economic development or tourism marketing

• Strong knowledge of Canadian municipal processes

• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences

• Leadership experience in managing teams and projects
