ASAP Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive primary school? We are currently working with a welcoming primary school in Hayes, Hillingdon , who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children with Autism and ADHD and will be confident providing tailored support to help pupils thrive both academically and personally.
Main Responsibilities Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs. Supporting children with Autism and ADHD both inside and outside the classroom. Helping pupils access the curriculum through differentiated and personalised support. Supporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation. Promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils develop their independence. Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils. Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO and wider support staff.
Implementing individual learning and support strategies. Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential. Supporting pupils during break and lunchtime where required. Maintaining a calm, patient and positive approach at all times. About You Have previous experience working with children with SEN . Have specific experience supporting children with Autism and ADHD . Be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
Have a good understanding of different learning and behavioural needs. Be patient, empathetic and genuinely passionate about supporting children. Be proactive, adaptable and able to remain calm in challenging situations. Be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday . Be available to start ASAP . Why Horizon Teachers? We are like you!
