Tutor
Location: Hillingdon
Hours: 15 hours per week (part-time), term-time only (Monday-Friday availability required)
Pay: £30-35 per hour
We are looking for an experienced and supportive tutor to work with a young person who requires additional learning and emotional support. This is a rewarding role that involves helping to create a positive and responsive learning environment across both home and school settings in the Hillingdon area. Some planning (alongside school staff) and regular feedback to parents and wider professionals will be part of the role.
Tutor Role:
Based in Hillingdon, this part-time position involves delivering a tailored curriculum in collaboration with teachers and another support mentor. Strong behaviour-support and relationship-building skills are essential. The young person attends a mainstream school and receives additional support from both a tutor and a 1:1 mentor.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide sessions either in school or at home, depending on the student's needs
Deliver and adapt curriculum content (Year 7 level) in partnership with teaching staff
Build trust and emotional safety by working at the student's pace
Use positive, student-centred approaches to support engagement
