Electrical Engineer The Electrical Engineerwillprovidetechnicalexpertise ,design,maintenance oversight,compliancesupportandoverseeelectricalworkstoelectricalsystemsacrosstheorganisation'spropertyportfolio. Thepostholderwillleadandsupportthedevelopment,design,governanceanddeliveryofsafe,compliant,low-carbonandcost-effectiveM&Esolutionsacrossthe Council'smanagedestate,ensuringalignmentwiththe
Council'sclimatecommitments,statutory obligations,andbestpracticeengineeringstandards. Therolewillcontributetowardsthecouncil'sambitionsforthedesignofelectricalsystemsthatarelowcarbon.
Thepostholderwillbeinvolvedinmodernisingtheelectricalsystemstobeenvironmentallyfriendlyandalignedwiththe London Boroughof Barnetlowcarboninitiatives .Therolewillalsohaveresponsibilityforexternalcontractorsandpartners.
2.Key accountabilities:
Electrical Engineer Toassist,advise,support,designandreviewelectricalengineeringsolutionsforthelocalauthority'smanagedestate. Wherethepostholderisappropriatelyqualifiedandexperienced,thismayincludeadvice,design,contractadministrationandsupportofmechanicalengineeringinadditiontoelectricalengineering. Supportandadvisethe Local Authorityoncompliance ,bestpracticeandstatutorycomplianceofelectricalcomponents. Toworkwithinamulti-disciplinarytechnicalteamastheelectricalengineersupportingtheteam,ensuringdeadlinesaremetinlinewithrealisticexpectationsindeliveringelectricaldesign,defectdiagnosisreports,fullspecificationofworks/scheduleofworks,feasibilitystudies,condition surveys,budget costs,Contract Tocarryoutdesignworksandfeasibility Toproduce,manageanddesignofCADDrawingsfordesign Toleadandactincapacityofcontractadministrator(where appointed) undertakingregularsiteinspectionsandreports. Todevelopandreviewdetailedreports,specifications and Toreviewandadviseontechnical Toliaisewiththeclientandotherteammemberstoensuredeliverablesaremetandvalueformoneyisprovided. ToreviewcontractualprogressinlinewithclientobjectivesandKPI's. Attendandbeavailabletobewithteammemberson Tobuildandmanagepositiverelationshipswithallstakeholdersincludingelected Members,Third Sector organisations,publicsectorpartners,tenants,developers,otherlandownersandclientdepartments. Toensurethatalldutiesandresponsibilitiesareperformedinaccordancewiththe Council'sPoliciesand Procedures including Financial Regulations ,Standing Orders,Personnel Policies and Procedures etc . Tokeepuptodateindevelopmentsandbestpracticein Electrical Engineeringandconstruction ,managementandleadershipandpublicsector Toundertakeanyothertasks,dutiesandresponsibilitiesasdirectedcommensuratewiththegradeandroleofthepost.
