WF Tech are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Hayes who are looking to add an experienced Quality Inspector to their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in precision engineering and component inspection to join a stable business offering long-term career development, including training on CMM equipment for the right candidate.
Working Hours
⦁ Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00
⦁ Friday: 07:30 - 15:00
⦁ Permanent Days Position
The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring precision-engineered components meet customer specifications and quality standards through accurate inspection and measurement techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
⦁ Conducting first-off and final inspection of precision-machined components
⦁ Inspecting parts against engineering drawings and specifications
⦁ Using a range of mechanical measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances
⦁ Recording and maintaining accurate inspection documentation
⦁ Supporting quality investigations and continuous improvement activities
⦁ Assisting with the completion of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) where required
⦁ Working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
Inspection Equipment Used
Experience using the following equipment is essential:
⦁ Verniers
⦁ Micrometers
⦁ Height Gauges
⦁ Shadow Graphs
⦁ Slip Gauges
⦁ Pin Gauges
⦁ Bore Gauges
⦁ General precision inspection equipment
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
⦁ Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
⦁ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
⦁ Experience carrying out first-off and final inspections
⦁ Strong attention to detail and quality standards
⦁ Good understanding of precision measurement techniques
Desirable Skills
⦁ Experience completing FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports)
⦁ Experience using CMM equipment
CMM experience is not essential, as full training can be provided for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and successfully complete their probation period.
