This role is critical in ensuring smooth logistics, regulatory adherence, and cost-effective transport services. This is an ideal position for a recently qualified CPC holder with a bias on fleet condition, repairs and maximising utilization availability. The role will work closely with our FORS and compliance Manager. The
Key Responsibilities Monitor vehicle maintenance, repair rectification, defect reporting, MOTs, PMI planning, and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Supervise drivers regarding compliance, track working hours, monitor infringements, and promote safe driving practices. Support cost control initiatives by reducing non-contract maintenance and damage costs. Provide operational reports and support audits when required. Undertake accident investigations and reporting.
Skills & Qualifications Hold a CPC qualification with a strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience with HGV fleet repairs, defect resolution and maintenance planning Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Strong communication skills for liaising with managers, drivers, and customers. IT proficiency in Microsoft office suite; logistics and fleet management software. Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years in transport/logistics in a supervisory or transport management role. Understanding of Road Haulage Operations and compliance to surrounding legislation would be essential.
Holding either HGV class 1 or 2 desirable. Familiarity with compliance audits and operational reporting. Proven ability to support large-scale fleet operations, often in 24/7 environments.
