Long-term Teachers are working with a welcoming secondary school in West Cornwall to recruit a passionate and dedicated History Teacher for a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover position starting in the new year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a History specialist who is enthusiastic about their subject and committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire students and help them achieve their potential.

• Teach History across the secondary age range
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
• Prepare resources and mark students' work
• Assess and monitor student progress
• Develop students' historical knowledge, analytical skills and critical thinking
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and high expectations
• Work collaboratively with the wider Humanities department

• A specialist History Teacher
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for History and helping students succeed
• The ability to plan engaging lessons and support a range of learning needs
