Job OverviewSweeney's Pavement Maintenance is hiring a full-time Gas & Diesel Maintenance Technician to support our Field Operations team. We're seeking a reliable, hands‑on individual with strong experience in maintaining and repairing both gas and diesel engines. In this essential role, you'll service our fleet of trucks, trailers, skid loaders, and other heavy equipment, ensuring our crews stay productive and safe in the field.

Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines across a fleet of vehicles and equipment
- Perform maintenance and emergency repairs on trucks, trailers, skid loaders, and construction equipment
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to avoid costly breakdowns
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repairs
- Occasionally assist with asphalt and concrete project work when needed
- Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on experience with gas and diesel engines
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles and heavy equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Valid driver's license
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
