The diesel technician must diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other failures of trucks and related equipment, and perform disassembly, repair, and reassembly of engines, transmissions, and other components.

• Use precision instruments, technical shop machines, and diagnostic tools.
• Read and understand technical publications and service software.
• Determine usability of component parts and order parts using dealer management systems.
• Complete work accurately and on time per published standards.
• Write clear descriptions of work performed in the dealer management system.
• Perform all job aspects safely and in accordance with OSHA and company rules.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality to support customer service.
• Steward company tools and resources.
• Achieve and maintain certifications required by the company, OEMs, or federal law.

• High School Diploma desired.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Read and write in English and understand computer‑generated reports.
• Operate diagnostic devices, laptops, and tablets.

• Move around, on, and under trucks to inspect and diagnose repairs.
• Pass physical, drug, and alcohol screenings.
• Lift 50 pounds at the waist and 25 pounds at the shoulder.
