Summary/ObjectiveThe Project Estimator / Project Manager plays a dual role by supporting both the front‑end estimating process and the full lifecycle of project execution. This position is responsible for preparing accurate quotes, coordinating project documentation, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials and information through production. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications- 2+ years of estimating experience in the construction or production industry.
- Experience with aluminum storefronts, curtain walls, unitized facades, windows, doors, or steel construction.
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute architectural and construction drawings and schematics.
- Understanding of hardware requirements (locks, cylinders, etc.).
- Previous customer-facing experience.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Associate’s degree in Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Customer service experience in an estimating role.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Dynamics 365, or specialized estimating software.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Technical Expertise:
Ability to evaluate project requirements, interpret architectural drawings, and produce accurate cost estimates for aluminum and steel construction systems. - Project Management:
Skilled in scheduling, resource coordination, documentation control, and progress tracking to support timely and efficient project delivery. - Communication &
Collaboration:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and cross‑functional teams. - Organization & Prioritization:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment. - Software Proficiency:
Proficient with ERP systems, project management and estimating tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel capabilities preferred. - Problem Solving:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues early, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions. - Quality & Detail Orientation:
High attention to detail with a commitment to meeting technical specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations. - Preferred
Skills:
Experience with BIM tools, Bluebeam, Dynamics 365, or estimating software; PMP certification is a plus.
