The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is seeking PT Chemistry instructors for Spring Semester 2026 and beyond for Chabot College in Hayward, CA. The ideal candidate must have a passion for teaching and learning and a strong commitment to the missions and values of the community college and have community college experience teaching Chemistry.

We are looking for excellent instructors who are student-centered in their approach and dedicated to student success, have interest in curriculum and instructional improvement through ongoing critical thinking about student learning outcomes in courses and programs. An ideal candidate will be skilled in promoting student engagement, incorporate culturally responsive pedagogy within the curriculum to promote student success, have excellent communication skills with students, staff and faculty peers, who are equity-minded in their work.

• Instructor responsible for teaching and assessing students;
• Responsible for delivering the content as specified in the course outline;
• Provide effective and timely feedback to students and create a welcoming and student-centered learning and teaching environment.

Master's degree in chemistry OR Bachelor's in chemistry or biochemistry AND Master's in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology or geochemistry OR the equivalent.
