Our client, an autonomous mobility and manufacturing organization, is seeking a Instructional Designer to join their team. As a Instructional Designer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations training program, supporting teams responsible for safety, quality, and compliance in a hands‑on factory environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical translation skills, a proven ability to design competency‑based learning, and the confidence to collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and technical writers to turn complex work instructions into clear, engaging training experiences.

Pay Range:$69/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Design and develop a structured curriculum for manufacturing and logistics associates, including virtual training, instructor‑led training (ILT), and on‑the‑job training (OJT) with certification frameworks.
• Create high‑quality virtual training modules using Articulate 360 (Rise/Storyline), applying instructional design best practices such as information chunking and accessibility standards.
• Translate complex technical documentation, SOPs, and work instructions into digestible, interactive, competency‑based learning materials in partnership with SMEs and technical writers.
• Build robust assessments, criteria‑based qualification checklists, and practical evaluation methods to verify learner competency and support knowledge retention.
• Define and standardize OJT processes and criteria, and support Learning Management System (LMS) optimization in Docebo to ensure smooth transitions from virtual learning to supervised practical application.

What's Needed?

• 5 to 7 years of experience in instructional design, specifically within a technical or industrial environment.
• Mastery of both virtual and live training design and development, with strong grounding in adult learning theory and interactive engagement strategies.
• Expert‑level proficiency with Articulate 360 (Rise/Storyline) and experience managing enterprise‑grade LMS platforms, including Docebo.
• Exceptional ability to synthesize dense technical documentation into clear, action‑oriented training content, including comfort working with digital tools and systems.
• Strong collaboration skills to work in a fast‑paced, in‑person factory setting with SMEs, managers, and technical writers; ability to independently organize and manage training program quality for a defined area.
