Position reports to:
Sales Manager

The work model for the role is remote (50–100 miles radius), preferred locations San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA.

This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Building in California.

• Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with channel partners (distributors, VARs, OEMs) and influencers including engineers/consultants.
• Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with electrical and general contractors at all organizational levels.
• Perform project take‑offs and develop cost‑effective proposals from project plans and specifications for electrical distribution and control equipment and services.
• Develop and maintain customer account plans & pipeline detailing key customers, stakeholders, estimated total annual ABB volume, project hit‑rate, relationship strength, and development needs.
• Utilize a strong network of cross‑functional internal resources (manufacturing, operations, specification engineers, field services, etc.) to maximize productivity and hit‑rate.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Engineering preferred).
• Minimum 2 years sales experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products.
• Strong project management skills.
• CLP Graduate preferred (internal applicants only).
• Must be able to drive automobile to visit customers.
• Hold a current driver’s license valid in California.
• Already have a work authorization that permits working for ABB in the US.

ABB Smart Buildings enables optimization of energy efficiency, safety, security, and comfort for any building type, through new installations or retrofit solutions. The division offers integrated digital technologies to control HVAC, lighting, shutters, and security, plus energy distribution solutions including DIN rail products, enclosures, emergency lighting, industrial plugs, sockets, and conventional wiring accessories for single family homes, multi‑unit dwellings, commercial buildings, infrastructure, and industrial applications.

While base salary is determined by qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $79,800 and $127,680 annually and is bonus eligible.
