In this hands‑on, production-support role, you'll be the first to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve live integration issues that impact robotic and automated manufacturing lines. Our ideal candidate has worked directly with SAP ME/MII in active production environments.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and support SAP ME/MII/PCo and S/4
  
  HANA integrations during live operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve MES‑SAP‑PLC and OPC UA issues in real time
• Collaborate with production engineers and technicians to maintain uptime
• Log root causes, drive permanent fixes, and improve MES reliability
• Ensure seamless data flow and accurate reporting across the line

Role specifics and target candidate profile Ideal candidate profile

Strong SAP ME/MII experience and manufacturing plant floor in‑person support experience. Basic knowledge on the integration between S4/HANA and SAP ME/MII is needed. Experience with SAP EAM module and familiarity with vehicle system structures Basic knowledge on the integration of MES with PLC using Kepware through OPC UA servers Onsite, in‑person support in company Facilities in the San Francisco Bay Areas, specifically Fremont and Hayward.

tasks Responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day Manufacturing Execution System (MES) operation support at company Facilities
• Resolve any MES‑related issues raised by production technicians
• Troubleshoot and resolve any MES data collection issues
• Work with production technicians to resolve any MES operation issues
• Monitor MES/S4 Integration errors and assist in the resolution of the errors
• Monitor Base Ops SAP Support channel requests and resolve any SAP EAM and Configuration Management related issues

Required skills

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant areas in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or Engineering
• Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in MES usage in a manufacturing environment (requirements analysis, design definition, software development, and solutions implementation)
• 3+ years of Hands‑on Experience with SAP ME/Mii/PCo and Kepware applications
• Prior experience working on SAP EAM systems.
• Ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and systems; customer‑focused, positive, supportive, self‑motivated, considerate personality required – must work well in a team environment
• Bonus:
  Master degree in Engineering
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing production environment
• Strong understanding of the plant floor manufacturing system architectures and industrial communication protocol

Business driver of role

As a Manufacturing Systems Support Contract Engineer, your primary roles are to work closely with the company's production teams and Base Ops Service Operations at various company's facilities, either remotely or in person, to troubleshoot any Manufacturing Systems and SAP S4 system related issues, identity the root causes of these issues, and resolve the issues directly in the systems or work with company Biz Apps personnel, production team members, Manufacturing Engineering Quality, Process, and MES Team engineers to resolve the issues.
