Essential Duties:This PRN Respiratory Therapist is responsible for patients with respiratory and related equipment. The role includes assessing patient needs, selecting, instructing, and troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining proper documentation.
Responsibilities:- Receive and document orders for respiratory equipment/services from various sources.
- Gather additional information from insurance or physicians as needed.
- Assess patient needs and determine appropriate respiratory therapy or services.
- Instruct and educate patients and caregivers on proper use and care of respiratory equipment, following policies and procedures.
- Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Complete patient documentation, including Plans of Care and assessments.
- Serve as a liaison among Super Care Health, patients, families, caregivers, and physicians.
- Take responsibility for personal actions, professional skills, and attitudes.
- Follow all policies and procedures, including JCAHO standards.
- Conduct follow-up visits to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide 24/7 on-call services as scheduled.
- Set up respiratory equipment within scheduled times to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Assist marketing and other departments as needed.
- Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, patience, and sincerity with patients.
- Support Super Care Health by being loyal and reporting concerns.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Stay informed about all products and maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment.
Work Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited RT program and hold a valid RCP license.
- Experience as a Respiratory Therapist (PRN).
- Thorough knowledge of respiratory care.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- People-sensitive with a genuine desire to help others.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks, reference checks, driving record (if applicable), and pre-employment drug and TB tests.
