The company is developing autonomous driving from the ground up, including creating a unique vehicle tailored to autonomous driving. This position provides technical content and support, focusing on improving operational efficiencies and resolving operation/production‑related system issues, primarily for the Base Ops Team, with occasional support for General Assembly Team operations.

The SAP Operation Support Engineer will:

• Collaborate closely with the Business Applications team on SAP data management, accuracy, and system improvement projects to support Base Ops.
• Work cross‑functionally with Base Ops Program Management, Strategic Operations, Data Science, Fleet Support, and Base Ops Engineering teams.
• Monitor and support Base Ops vital systems and assets, manage software/hardware rollouts, deliver training, provide maintenance/troubleshooting, and contribute to the overall system infrastructure.
• Support additional tasks such as website development/maintenance, operational data analytics databases and dashboards, and vehicle production line system troubleshooting.
• Engage in projects related to SAP S4, SAP MES, and other IT systems, creating tools and processes to improve operational uptime and system efficiency.

• Act as a data steward for SAP data management (Vehicle list, Work Center, Measuring points and counters, Maintenance Task list, Maintenance plan, Catalog Codes, Vehicle and Equipment lists).
• Collaborate with the Business Applications team for As‑Maintained BOM structure cleanup and resolving data inaccuracies.
• Support configuration management in SAP for Base Ops milestones.
• Identify and lead SAP product improvement and automation initiatives.
• Evaluate SAP user experience and lead system improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the go‑to SAP expert for maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Work with the internal training team to build module‑specific training for Base Ops SAP users.

• Provide IT application support for vital Base Ops systems, interfacing with Corporate IT and advocating departmental needs.
• Drive IT infrastructure and application improvement projects based on analytics and user feedback.
• Develop, maintain, and support Technical Publications/service manual authoring software, release software, and customer website.
• Improve documentation review processes with the Base Ops documentation team.
• Support development and usage of data analytics tools and dashboards to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead data auditing and compliance to ensure accuracy and governance.
• Communicate project status, activities, and achievements with internal and external partners.

• BS in Information Technology or equivalent engineering degree.
• 6–8 years of experience in a similar System Operation Support role.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP S4.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to prioritize daily workload.
• Experience with UI development/maintenance, including UX studies.
• Coding experience: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• General IT system awareness.

• Working knowledge of SAP ME/MII systems.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar ticketing/wiki services.
• Experience with web development tools like Oxygen and related data analytics.
• Experience developing dashboards and data analytics tools.
• Prior systems support in a production environment and vehicle fleets.

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated.
