Responsibilities
As an Advanced Welder you will read and understand shop drawings, plan fabrication, and fabricate welded components per the shop drawing. The shop is equipped with a wide range of tools, including drills, cold saws, bandsaws, grinders, tapping arms, laser, press brake, overhead crane, forklift, and more.

Qualifications
We are looking for a fabricator with the following skills:

• Advanced MIG (75%) & TIG (25%)
• Expert at interpreting shop drawings to make parts and develop a work plan/sequence
• Perform accurate layout of plates, holes, bends, etc.
• Skilled in the use of layout tools like scribes, squares, tapes, protractors, levels, etc.
• Meet Hester’s welding standards, know how to set up the machine, diagnose problems, and produce high‑quality welds
• Humble and ready to learn every day; the shop produces and utilizes new techniques daily
• Estimate fabrication durations and consistently meet goals
• Plan and sequence work with the shop manager
