Forklift Operator at Trans Pak

Overview

Join to apply for the Forklift Operator role s role involves working as part of the Trans Pak team to maintain warehouse operations, including stocking, moving materials, loading/unloading, and keeping an organized warehouse and storage system at our facility. You’ll prepare materials for production use or shipping/receiving, operate a forklift, and perform other duties as needed. Coaching and regular feedback will be provided for continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine work assignments, material or equipment needs
• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers using appropriate equipment
• Loading and unloading of truck trailers and other vehicles
• Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with colleagues to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment
• Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs to maintain safe and efficient use; follow all procedures and know the equipment before using it
• Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts
• May perform special continuous improvement projects as needed

What We’d Like To See From You

Highly Desired

• High School diploma or GED
• Forklift experience with the ability to maintain certifications on equipment such as forklift certification or pallet jack training, as required by site
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to build a high performing team
• Demonstrated attention to detail, deadline-driven, continuous improvement behaviors
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Safe and Efficient Facility Team Member

Preferred

• High School diploma or GED
• Bilingual English-Spanish speaker
• One (1) year inventory management experience
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience
• Demonstrated attention to detail, deadline-driven, continuous improvement behaviors
• Role model Trans Pak culture and operating procedures
