Part-time Veterinary Assistant

• Room the clinic and patients.
• Assist with patient intake and documentation.
• Draw blood and perform basic diagnostic procedures.
• Assist in surgeries and monitor general anesthesia.
• Perform digital radiology (X‑ray) positioning.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely.

• 3+ years clinical experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Proficiency in venipuncture (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular).
• Comfortable with digital radiology including positioning.
• Experience with maintaining proper animal handling and restraint.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain accurate medical histories and perform basic exams.
• Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology) and in‑house IDEXX lab proficiency.

• Salary: $20–$26 per hour, based on experience, education, licensure, and certifications.
• Schedule:
  
  Part‑time, two to three 8‑hour shifts Monday–Friday;
  Saturday coverage required. Closed on Sunday and all federal holidays.
