Who you are:

As a full-time McKinley Equipment Technician, you will handle everything from doors of all types, security grilles, material lifts, loading dock equipment, and balers. If you are skilled or feel that you could be an expert in any of these trades, then you may be the right fit for our team.

As the person with the most face-to-face interaction with our customers, you represent the McKinley name in every job you complete. This meansyour mechanical/technical skills combined with your strong customer service orientationis the key to your success.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and interact with customers while providing them with excellent customer service.
• Document and communicate to support team via company iPad. Being Cloud-based allows us to act in real time to address our customer needs in an efficient and timely manner.
• Continually work with Safety First in mind to protect yourself, customers, and the company.
• Travel in your assigned company van/truck to customer locations to install equipment.
• Maintain professionalism in all aspects of your role including appearance and hygiene.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday with occasional after hours and/or weekend work
• Ability to be in On-Call Rotation, which includes after hours, weekends, and holidays

What You Must Have:

• Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience:TWO years of industry experience (Commercial Docks & Doors)
• Requirements: All job offers are contingent upon a NEGATIVE DRUG SCREEN TEST and a Current CA Driver’s License with a CLEAN DRIVING RECORD!

  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving
  • Working knowledge of iPad, iPhones, and basic computer use
  • Forklift driving experience
• Other required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Highly organized, punctual, and reliable
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy
  • Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as work instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to work without supervision
  • Must have schedule flexibility, as services may be performed during evenings, weekends or holidays
  • Able to work overtime
  • Physically fit for lifting and moving equipment (up to 50 lbs)
  • Ability to see, hear, and smell
  • Ability to push, pull, and perform overhead work
  • Ability to work on ladders
  • Ability to work with various hand and power tools
  • Use of fingers/fine manipulation
  • Ability to operate Forklifts and Scissor Lifts. Training, certification, and re-certification will be provided.
