Warehouse Driver

Full‑time position in Hayward reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

This position involves pick‑up and delivery duties using company supplied vehicle(s). When not driving, the role supports the shipping & receiving department and general warehousing responsibilities for day‑to‑day facility and service operations.

• Driver service support, pick‑up’s and deliveries
• Frequent vendor calls and job‑site deliveries using company vehicles
• Delivery area is in the Bay Area
• Pull, label, stage parts needed by Service Department for daily activities
• Re‑inventory all unused material returned from job sites
• Ensure all inventories are labeled and placed in the proper location
• Conduct daily walk‑through ensuring safety hazards are eliminated, area is clean & orderly, and all items are properly stored
• Maintain/operate warehouse‑based forklifts and service vehicles
• Ensure company vehicles are kept clean, and in safe and professional manner
• Occasional facilities work as needed
• Access information on a computer
• Keep shipping and receiving area clean / stocked
• Make sure shipping and receiving of all orders is done in a timely manner; all items should be received into the system the same day they arrive; all shipments for office should be checked in and taken over to proper staging area in building
• Receive/inspect/properly store incoming shipments
• Stage received materials for service department jobs
• Getting all freight charges added to the picking list in a timely manner
• Put all stock items in their proper places; ensure safety rules are followed
• Assist employees with finding parts they need
• Make sure we have adequate shipping supplies on hand at all times
• Prepare/schedule outgoing shipments
• Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by manager

This job operates in a professional work environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a desk‑bound role; filing, binding, and other tasks require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand on a stool, climb stairs, and prepare training and meeting rooms or spaces as necessary. Also required to talk, hear, listen, bend, squat, walk, lift, pull, push, and climb stairs.

Full‑time exempt. Days of work:
Monday through Friday. May require long hours and occasional travel as job duties demand.

May be required for this position to all R.F. Mac Donald Co. office locations within its operating cities and customer sites with out‑of‑area and possible overnight travel expected.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of warehouse/shipping/receiving/driver experience
• Ability to operate forklifts
• Valid driver’s license, with good driving record and no violations
• Must be self‑motivated and proactive within work environment
• Proven working experience as a driver and warehouse personnel
• Excellent time management skills
