Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Flexible Start Dates

Daily Rate: £89.05 – £110

Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30)

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils feel understood, confident and fully included in their learning. Whether you’re working within a nurturing primary setting or supporting older students in secondary school, this role gives you the chance to make a meaningful impact — all while working in a way that suits your lifestyle.

We’re looking for patient, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re seeking full‑time work or prefer flexible, day‑to‑day placements, we’ll match you with schools where your support truly matters.

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
  • Providing one‑to‑one or small‑group support to help pupils access learning
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and personalised learning plans
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and encouraging environment for all learners
  • Helping pupils regulate emotions, develop independence and build confidence
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to promote pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • Confidence supporting pupils with a variety of learning and behavioural needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
