Job Summary
Hazard Community and Technical College invites applications for the position of Part Time Staff Tutor. The Staff Tutor will be responsible for working with students to provide tutoring services in math and a variety of other courses, reinforcing key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom and for students with accommodations.
Job Duties- Provide students with supplemental skills and teach strategies to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note‑taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions for math and other coursework.
- Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic tasks to reinforce key concepts.
- Demonstrate academic best practices for math course assignments, including research and writing tactics.
- Provide students with positive and constructive feedback on progress where appropriate.
- Offer tutoring services at HCTC locations, through various modes (on campus or online).
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
