Overview
KENTUCKY RIVER AREA DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT is accepting applications for the position of Community Development Planner
.
The Kentucky River Area Development District, an eight-county planning and development agency, is seeking a Community Development Planner to support planning efforts and project development with city and county governments and local communities within the District.
Responsibilities- Under the direction of the Associate Director of Community & Economic Development, work closely with city and county governments and local communities within the District to assist with planning efforts and project development.
- Acquire information about potential local, state and federal funding sources and be responsible for the development, submittal and administration of any resulting loan/grant application.
- Bachelor degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or Planning is preferred.
- Associate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Planning or closely related field required.

- Salary will be based on education and experience with a 5% wage increase after a successful six-month probationary period.

- Applicants must have good working knowledge of computers and software applications.
- Possesses good written and oral communication skills; knowledge of reporting and vital record keeping requirements; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, public, and elected officials.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- A competency test and criminal records check will be required before interviewing with the Personnel Committee of the KRADD.
