Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 3

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services Operations Manager 3 for Appalachian Regional Healthcare System (ARH). ARH is a not‑for‑profit health system that operates 14 hospitals and is the largest provider of care, the single largest employer in southeastern Kentucky, and the third‑largest private employer in southern West Virginia. This position will require travel to support ARH’s Environmental Services teams throughout the system as needed and flexibility for shifts, locations, weekends and holidays.

Requirements include supervisory/management experience, strong verbal, written, and computer skills, and technical knowledge in Environmental Services. The ideal candidate will help drive patient satisfaction, implement and maintain the SMS, and fill management vacancies.

  • Great organizational and time‑management skills and a strong understanding of customer service.
  • Prior experience in hospitality service is ideal to support healthcare departments.
  • Experience supervising a diverse employee population while delivering excellent customer service.

What You'll Do
  • Drive client and patient satisfaction scores.
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff and work closely with the Infection Control department.
  • Collaborate with the Environment of Care Committee and the Infection Prevention Director.
  • Effectively manage the Unit Operating System.
  • Support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

What You Bring
  • Experience leading and managing a team; a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed client and customer service expectations and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system.
  • Experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates.
  • Ability to analyze data, present, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels related to training, committee leadership, and change management.
  • Experience effectively managing projects within agreed timelines.
  • Results‑ and safety‑driven attitude.
